  凯特·莫兰, Mayfield's 14th 校长, is an accomplished administrator, innovator and expert in girls' education who brings a warm, generous spirit and faith-filled leadership to our community. 
  
  Her strong bonds with students, her visionary guidance that pushes for continuous improvement and her indefatigable devotion to Mayfield distinguishes her leadership. 在凯特的指导下, Mayfield has strengthened and greatly invested in Science, 技术, Engineering and Mathematics education, launched a breakthrough health and wellness program, and nurtured a thriving 校园部 team, among other top-notch initiatives.
  
  Kate enters her fourth year at Mayfield after serving eight years as Head of the Upper School at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD. Over the course of her 28-year career, which also encompassed a variety of teaching and leadership roles at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., Kate has developed an unequivocal dedication to empowering young women through single-sex education.

  凯特握着一个M.A. in history from the University of Maryland, College Park, an M.A. in musicology from New York University and a B.A. in music from the University of Maryland, College Park. 凯特和她丈夫, Skip—a music professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for 23 years—have three grown sons who live on the East Coast, 奥布里, 尼古拉斯和马太.
